Caelo exists because building a website stopped being the hard part. Keeping one consistent, safe and under your control for years still is.
Why
AI made building easy. Running is the work.
Any AI can produce a good homepage in minutes. What it cannot do on its own is keep page fifty in line with page one, let a colleague change a price without breaking the layout, take back a mistake, or keep the login away from strangers.
Caelo is the system around the AI that does those things. The AI does the work inside a design system you own. People decide what goes live. The public site is plain HTML, and the place where it is built sits behind a login.

The sky, Aelius writes, is called caelum because it is caelatum: worked in relief.
Caelo takes its name from that old idea. A wide open space that holds precise, deliberate work. Your site is the sky. Every edit is engraved into it.

Caelo is free software. There is no paid edition and no feature held back for a cloud version.

Built and funded by searchVIU in Bonn.
Caelo is built and funded by searchVIU GmbH in Bonn, Germany, the team behind the searchVIU SEO software. We need a modern CMS for our own sites, and WordPress no longer fits how we work, so we build one ourselves. Caelo is not venture-funded and has no paid edition.
This site, caelo-cms.com, runs on Caelo. We build and maintain it through the Power-MCP. Caelo is pre-1.0 and actively developed, and we fix what we run into in the open.
